The jaguar has the most powerful bite of any of the Big Cats, is a skilled, silent hunter and is often referred to as the king of the South American jungle. Today, its beautiful fur makes it a desirable and valuable prey for poachers and the cattle owners also prefer to see them dead than alive.
Together with scientists from the University of Mexico, our camera team followed the animals which had been fitted with transmitters into the dense jungle - by day and by night.
